Surprise!

I knew there was some kind of disturbance last night. It was a sleepless one and the moon was no where near full. It was Vikram Pandit's wheeling and dealing that did it. This man is an out and out threat. After his well received speech last week he clearly started drifting to the darker side. He thinks that's the only way he can beat the white witch. He couldn't be more wrong. His powers are no match for hers.

How did Vikram get his hands on this cash? Easy. Tarp. There's no stopping this beast. It's so obvious even elected officials are starting to realize it:

"The time has come that we consider what sort of limitations we should be placing on the Fed so that authority returns to elected officials as opposed to appointed ones."
-Congressman Scott Garret

Actually the time for that was a month ago when the bill was drafted...
Still, if you aren't going to do your job you might as well come out and say it. (This Garret fellow has a kind of integrity.)

Anyway, I don't like shady sunday transactions, I don't like Vikram's wheeling and I don't like not knowing or understanding what the hell is going on. Nowanights, you can't fall asleep without some government somewhere taking another big stake in some bank. And I don't like it.
